Manchester United signs a new contract worth over £85 million with a release clause.

Back in December, Manchester United were linked with a move for the Shakhtar Donetsk prospect.

In December of last year, MancThe rumors, which surfaced via the Italian publication TuttoJuve, that Manchester United is keeping an eye on Sudakov pose a challenge to Juventus’ own efforts to acquire the player.

However, Georgiy Sudakov was not a player Shakhtar was willing to part with cheaply, as they thought he might be their next big acquisition after Mykhailo Mudryk’s 2023 transfer to Chelsea.

And these expectations of a substantial payoff have advanced even further.

Hester United was mentioned as a potential suitor for the Shakhtar Donetsk player.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Sudakov and Shakhtar have signed a contract extension that will last until 2029.

On X, Romano writes: “A consensus has been reached. The new agreement is good through June 2029. Recognize that it will have a release clause valued at over €100 million. Summertime watchworthy, a top talent on many clubs’ rosters.

The release clause has a value of more than £85 million. It is a hefty price that Shakhtar would be fortunate to obtain.

However, it does give them more negotiating leverage and guarantees that, even in the event that a lower fee is agreed upon, it won’t be negligible.

With 12 caps as a full international for Ukraine, Sudakov, 21, has made appearances in the Champions League this year.

He has three goals from 18 appearances this season, including one that he scored in a group stage match against Barcelona.

In the summer, Manchester United will probably investigate less expensive options. Although Sudakov has potential, he has not yet shown his worth, and Mudryk’s inconsistent play at Chelsea has hurt Shakhtar’s chances of receiving a massive offer.
