According to Sky Germany, Liverpool recently lodged an enquiry to RB Salzburg over the availability of Karim Adeyemi.

WHAT’S THE STORY?

Well, the 19-year-old is one of the hottest players in Europe right now, after scoring 11 goals in his first 16 games this season.

As a result, Sky Germany’s Marc Behrenbeck believes Liverpool are sniffing around the club who they stole Takumi Minamino from.

Behrenbeck said: “He will definitely leave Salzburg next summer. €30m – €40m (£26m – £34m) should be generated. There are also inquiries from England. Liverpool recently asked again.”

If this is true, Liverpool fans should be praying Jürgen Klopp and Michael Edwards get this deal over the line.

After all, some have said that Adeyemi could become the next Erling Braut Håland, as the Norwegian also made his name at RB Salzburg.

Others believe the 1-cap Germany international is ‘much better‘ than Kai Havertz, who cost Chelsea £75.8m.

Right now, Liverpool are one of the most attractive clubs in Europe.

Some of the game’s best players are currently at Anfield, while Europe’s best manager arguably is too.

However, there may be a spanner in the works.

Sky Germany add that Adeyemi has a ‘clear’ career plan, with the Bundesliga earmarked as the next step in his footballing journey.

After a spell in Germany’s top-flight, the wonderkid ‘might’ go abroad.

That doesn’t sound very encouraging for the Reds, in truth.

It’s imperative that Klopp stops him going elsewhere, as everything suggests he will explode and potentially become a £100m forward.

If Liverpool lose out now, it may be years before they get another chance to sign this incredibly talented striker.
