‘Unbearable’: BBC pundit simply doesn’t want Arsenal to win title, sends message to Tottenham

Garth Crooks of BBC Sport has stated that he does not want Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to win the Premier League and is dissatisfied with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal could win the Premier League this season, according to the former Tottenham Hotspur forward and BBC Sport.

Crooks has stated that Spurs are unaware of the fans’ anguish.

Arsenal came from two goals down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League this past weekend.

Tottenham suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home in the league this past weekend.

Arsenal is at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 63 points from 26 matches, five points ahead of second-placed and defending champions Manchester City.

As for Tottenham, Antonio Conte’s side is fourth in the league standings with 45 points from 26 matches.

GARTH CROOKS ON ARSENAL AND TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Crooks wrote: “Anyone who supports a London team, as well as countless others, who saw the video footage of Ian Wright hysterically celebrating Arsenal’s last-minute victory over Bournemouth, must have felt the pain we are all feeling.

“Wrighty’s celebration in the Match of the Day green room epitomized just how much the prospect of winning the Premier League title means to him and every single Arsenal fan on the planet.

“I had Arsenal fans from as far as Nigeria and Dubai sending me copies of the footage in the middle of the night – punishing me, largely due to my association with Spurs, as they know how deep the rivalry goes between the two clubs.

“My issue is: do the current group of Tottenham players or the manager have any idea what Spurs fans are going through right now?

“With every goal and victory celebration Arsenal are inching their way towards an elusive Premier League title.

“Meanwhile the prospect of them winning this thing is becoming unbearable. Is there no one who can save us from this perpetual agony?”

While Arsenal is going from strength to strength, Tottenham Hotspur is struggling to be consistent and progress on the pitch.

Last season, Spurs finished in the top four of the Premier League table.

And now they may not even get into the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal missed out on the UEFA Champions League places in the Premier League table last season, but now they could become the champions of England.
