According to a report, Crystal Palace is now the favorite to sign the 27-year-old ‘excellent’ Arsenal star.

Rob Holding’s transfer from Arsenal is something Crystal Palace is getting closer to doing on the final day of the transfer window.

The Daily Mail’s live transfer blog reported (1/9; 08:15) that the Gunners had been open to proposals for the 27-year-old throughout the transfer window.

For the most of the summer, Rob Holding has been a potential possibility to depart from the Emirates. Arsenal has plenty of depth in the middle of the defense. Gabriel Magalhaes has yet to start a Premier League game this season, which is concerning for the Englishman.

According to The Daily Mail, Holding has drawn interest this summer from a variety of leagues. However, he might not have to go far to his next club.

Nowadays, Crystal Palace is one of the top candidates to sign Holding. And their chances of reaching an agreement before the deadline expires are rising.

Holding seems like an excellent person to have around the group. He has previously been described as “brilliant” by Mikel Arteta. So it’s easy to see why Roy Hodgson would be drawn to a deal. He also has a ton of experience.

As the hours pass, it might be a move that genuinely benefits everyone as Arsenal is willing to let him go.
