Ryan and Jose Cifuentes Nicolas Raskin and Todd Cantwell are out, thus Jack will start – Rangers Real Betis Predicted XI

Rangers manager Michael Beale is expected to make numerous changes to his starting lineup for their Europa League group stage match against Real Betis.

Following a 2-0 win over St Johnstone at the weekend, the Gers will face the La Liga side at Ibrox, but they will be without a number of first-team players.

Nicolas Raskin, Todd Cantwell, Danilo, and Kieran Dowell are all out due to injury, therefore some decisions must be made about which team will play, with the outcome so important to the boss’ future.

Despite poor results and Robby McCrorie’s desire for a game, Jack Butland will be the guy to receive the nod between the pipes as the number one.

Captain James Tavernier and central defender Connor Goldson are both guaranteed starters whenever healthy, and that will continue at Ibrox, while Borna Barisic is nearly expected to start at left back with Ridvan Yilmaz absent from the team list.

In defense, the question will be who starts alongside Goldson in center defense, with Ben Davies receiving the nod this weekend. However, John Souttar has been in fantastic form and is more likely to replace the former Liverpool man.

With Raskin and Cantwell absent, Beale has the opportunity to reintroduce Ryan Jack into the team after his international obligations with Scotland caused him to miss out in midweek. John Lundstram and Jose Cifuentes can also start ahead of him to add balance and energy, freeing up space in the attack for some creativity.

With Dowell and Danilo absent, Tom Lawrence might make his first European outing of the season by starting in the number 10 role to link the midfield and strike force.

Kemar Roofe has established himself as a significant threat in Beale’s system, so he should get the nod ahead of Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers for this game.

Along with him, the team requires pace, and Rabbi Matondo’s goal over the weekend may have earned him a starting berth ahead of summer signing Abdallah Sima.
