“Definitely”: Pundit says England should consider bringing up the £12 million Villa player.

Following yesterday’s victory, Ian Wright believes England should consider calling up Aston Villa center-back Ezri Konsa.

Wright stated on BBC Match of the Day 2 that Konsa possessed all of the necessary elements in his game.

Gareth Southgate, according to the analyst, should have a look at the defender who is flourishing under Unai Emery.

“He’s someone for me who is worth looking at simply because he has all the attributes,” Wright added.

“I’d definitely have a look at Ezri Konsa [for England].”

And this will be music to Aston Villa fans’ ears after their 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.

Wright could have commended many Villa players, including Konsa, Emi Martinez, and Ollie Watkins.

Of course, the latter may also be trying to re-enter the England team.

Watkins will have been relieved to score his first league goal of the season yesterday, especially given Jhon Duran’s form.

Emery’s Villa now have a roster of international caliber players, and their project is becoming increasingly interesting.

Wright believes England should consider Villa’s Konsa.

Konsa is currently adjusting to a new center-back partner for the most of the season.

Due to Tyrone Mings’ injury, Pau Torres now appears to be a stalwart of this Aston Villa club.

And Villa’s summer recruitment is already paying off.

Moussa Diaby appears to be a wise acquisition, as does Nicolo Zaniolo on loan.

This season, the pair should give lots of excitement for Villa supporters, as well as plenty of end product.

Furthermore, Emery is only able to bring in so many new players due of the solid basis that Konsa provides.

And, despite Wright’s complaints, Villa’s £12 million Konsa wouldn’t be out of place in a similarly steady role for England.
